Kennesaw State University is the third-largest university in Georgia with more than 24,600 undergraduate and graduate students representing 132 countries. Kennesaw State was originally established by the University System of Georgia in 1963 as Kennesaw Junior College serving 1,000 students. The college became a four-year institution in 1976. In 1996 became Kennesaw State University.
The University’s national reputation continues to gain steam -- recognized for its first-year experience program for ten consecutive years and as one of the top universities in the region by U.S. News & World Report in its America’s Best Colleges issue. Kennesaw State has also been ranked among only 19 universities in the country that scored an A by the American Council of Trustees and Alumni in its "What Will They Learn?" guide.
